"A Fall Is A Trip"
I always wanted to be an astronaut. You can see me in the background, painting the scene from the other side. No need for a space suit when you are realizing your fantasy. It is also my first painting using photorealism techniques. The original painting was stolen and never recovered. Cut right out of the frame at the Ball State art painting studio. Whoever did the deed also broke into my locker and stole all of my painting supplies and reference material. That next summer I took the stretcher home, added a new canvas and repainted the picture. This time I painted in oil instead of acrylic. The blending was superior in oil. I've never worked in acrylic since. |
