"Paradise" (par' e diz') n. 1. heaven as the final abode of the righteous. 2. an intermediate place for the departed souls of the righteous awaiting resurrection. 3. Eden. 4. a place of extreme beauty, delight, or happiness. 5. supreme happiness or a state of supreme happiness. Paradise is a state of mind. An enigma wrapped in a paradox waiting to be opened in Pandora's box. Paradise is a dark secret. A lie. The truth. What is paradisiacal to some can be offensive and down right dangerous to others. Many poor misguided souls blow themselves up with others to reach their rather unique version of paradise to enjoy the company of 30 virgins. So from which definition is the painting working? Paradise is the final painting of this first exploration of "Post Traumatic Retrospective". I plan to revisit and contribute additional work in the future.
